Healthy Drinks: Recipes and Links – Juice

I am finally doing it! Gathering a few recipes for juicing and smoothies and putting it into one place. I am doing this because my husband and I – as well as my little girl who is SUPER excited – are going to the Farmer’s Market today and I need a list of stuff to get. ;P Plus Recipes can be handier than mixing a bunch of stuff and hoping it ends well. Let’s get started:
PS: If you want to skip all of the ones I have listed, most come from this site:  Reboot with Joe – Juice Recipes!
The first few are from Health.com.

Tip: A hint that one of the sites I was reading said this:

Want a smoothie instead?
Combine 1 cup juice from any recipe, 1 cup ice cubes, 1/2 cup low-fat plain yogurt, and 1 medium peeled banana in a blender. Purée until smooth.

So, from any of the juicing recipes you want to try to make a smoothie from it, this is a good way to do it! Onward!

Power Gulp

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sliced kale (from about 3 large leaves)
  • 1 cup seedless green grapes (about 28)
  • 1 English cucumber, thickly sliced
  • 1 small Granny Smith apple (4–6 ounces), cored and cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup water

Preperation

In a blender, combine kale, grapes, cucumber, apple, and water; blend, scraping down sides occasionally, until smooth. Strain juice and, if desired, thin with additional water. Before serving, garnish with a fresh kale leaf and a cucumber slice (optional). Refrigerate up to 2 days (shake before serving).

WHEW! This is just the tip of the iceberg! Only two sites, but you see the results! If you want more recipes (I haven’t even touched HALF of them) then go to this link: Reboot with Joe – Juice Recipes!

Next entry should be Smoothie recipes!
